Dean Mikel — The company's founder started Crescent Investigative Services in 1992 after serving as a special agent with the U.S. State Department. Today, Mikel primarily serves as an investigative consultant.
Bill Sires — As Crescent’s lead investigator, Bill has over 20 years of investigative experience. He has a unique skillset from serving as a Trooper for the Minnesota State Patrol, Interim Chief of Police, and Chief Deputy Sheriff. During his time with the State Patrol, Sires served as District Investigator. Beyond his time with the State Patrol, Sires has worked alongside Mikel on numerous cases over the years.
Dan Holmes — Crescent is proud to offer accident reconstruction services. Holmes's 27-year career as a Minnesota State Patrol Reconstructionist brings an unrivaled level of knowledge and value to motor vehicle accident investigations.
Kara Schmidt-Pischke — As a Minnesota State Trooper, Schmidt-Pischke is also a Certified Crash Reconstructionist and Forensic Map Specialist. Beyond her law enforcement expertise, she holds a commercial drone pilot’s certification which leads one-of-a-kind scene photography and videography.
Heath Dienger — Dienger has conducted numerous criminal and background investigations during his career with the Minnesota State Patrol. As a Lieutenant, he brings great leadership and law enforcement expertise to our investigative team.
Mark Holm — With 35 years of law enforcement experience, Holm has conducted & supervised criminal, background & employee conduct investigations. These areas of expertise are in perfect alignment with the specialties of Cresent’s core services.
